Head of Group Accounting

A leading, rapidly growing, private-equity backed services business has an exciting opportunity for a strong finance professional to join them at their HQ in Central London as a Head of Group Accounting with the aim of creating a best in class finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Owning the delivery of accurate, timely and meaningful management and statutory reporting
• Creating and maintaining an environment of business partnering and cooperation across finance and operations
• Ensuring the integrity of reported figures as part of building and maintaining a robust controls environment
• Leadership, management and motivation of a team of six reports
• Working alongside the Finance Director on ongoing process reviews and improvement projects
• Continuous development of the management reporting pack
• Support the Finance Director in delivery of systems projects
• Preparation of board pack and liaison with Auditors and Tax Advisors
• Provide technical advice on the impact of developments in GAAP

Candidate Profile:

• Graduate and qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA at least 8 years’ post qualification experience
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Previous experience taking full responsibility for management and statutory reporting within a dynamic, complex and rapidly expanding business
• Highly motivated with a genuine desire to add value across the board
