Accounts Payable - Temporary - Northamptonshire £12 - 13 per hour - 6 months


What you'll need to succeed

A temporary vacancy has arisen for an Accounts Payable Assistant reporting to the Head of Controlling

Key responsibilities include:

Invoice Processing

* Issue invoices with queries for resolution within 3 days of receipt (other than for vendors agreed by General Accounting Supervisor)
* Reconcile all supplier statements weekly and obtain copies of all missing invoices
* Provide monthly reconciliation of Accounts Payable control accounts
* Work closely with Cogent our external Accounts Payable provider.

Process Supplier Payments

* Process payment runs to agreed schedule by agreed deadline
* Ensure minimal vendor payments by non-electronic methods (BACS for UK domestic vendors)

Query Resolution

* Respond to all vendor queries (either by email or telephone) within 24 hours
* Ensure invoices held in query within Ebydos cockpit does not exceed 500
* Identify main causes of queries and implement root cause analysis and permanent resolution
* Ensure all vendor account balances and exceptions are reviewed monthly and all issues resolved in line with agreed timelines
* Preparation and distribution of Weekly Report on outstanding queries within Ebydos
Candidate Experience:
* Experience of SAP or similar accounting system
* Experience of working in a similar role.
