Finance Director

As Finance Director you will be responsible for:

• Ensure adequate financial systems and controls are in place to provide accurate accounting information and safeguard the Company's assets
• Provide financial support to the senior management team
• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Prepare annual statutory accounts
• Ensure Revenue recognition is correctly accounted for
• Ensure that accounting transactions are correct, complete and posted on a timely basis
• Prepare annual budgets, operating plan and reforecasts as required, to support the business strategy
• Supervise accounts administrator and Office Manager
• Prepare and submit grant claims and budgets, liaise with R&D Managers on all financial matters relating to grants
• Provide monthly financial board report to CEO
• Prepare management accounts showing actual versus plan for cost centres and support cost centre managers in keeping within budget
• Investigate and select new accounting system to provide better financial control, improved purchasing and sales order processing functionality
• Implement new accounting system

Education:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification

Experience:

• 5+ years as Finance Director or equivalent with a UK-based software company
• Proven experience of leading the finance function in a fast-growing software company as it develops
• Proven experience of setting up remote international offices
• Proven experience of working with international customers
