The role of Finance Analyst:
- Preparation of annual stores budgets and forecasts, liaising with Retail management team and finance colleagues
- Reviewing store financial performance with Retail team on a monthly basis and further analysis as required
- Working in cross-functional teams to support on-going business projects
- Appraising business cases from partner divisions, reviewing and challenging finance impact
- Identifying, communicating and managing risks and opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor to offer effective strategic support
- Seek opportunities to drive positive change in Finance and business processes to improve efficiency, maximise value for money and improve stakeholder experience
You will only be shortlisted for the role if you fit the following requirements:
- You must have a commercial background in a consumer business - ideally retail or FMCG/Cosmetics - you will not be considered for the role if you're not from this background.
- Ambitious and hardworking
- The ability to communicate effectively is a pre-requisite, as you'll be dealing with a variety of people at different levels across the business.
- You also need to have a questioning approach and the confidence to challenge established ways of working.
- Highly numerate and analytical, you have had experience with financial modelling. IT skills should include strong fluency in Excel and capability of working with IT systems.
- A solid understanding of business environments and a sound level of commercial awareness.
- Part qualified ACCA or CIMA.
