We are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Supervisor to assist with leading the Accounts Payable Team and add value by improving process in place at the moment. The right candidate will be ambitious, seeking the chance to add value and strengthen your already excellent skills within a managerial role;
Your responsibilities will include;
- Supervising up to 3 Accounts Payable Team Leaders
- Holding regular AP meeting to ensure procedures are being followed effectively
- Sending weekly cash Forecasts to Department Manager and Financial Controller
- Prepare daily and/or monthly accounts payable statistics for AP manager
- Ensuring an appropriate course of action is designed for suppliers outside agreed payment schedule
- KPI monitoring
- To produce all accounts payable month end reconciliations, by the end of day
- To run weekly Accounts Payable payment proposals sending out to key departments for review, including Treasury for Cash forecasting.
- Maintain & improve the relationships with all key suppliers
- Deal with difficult supplier queries
- Look to improve all processes and procedures
- Implement an automation for payment runs
- Ensure that all ledgers are properly maintained
- Ensure invoices are processed in an efficient, accurate manner and payment runs are compliant with controls and regulations
Key skills and experience;
- Experience with supervising an Accounts Payable team
- Ideally you will have had 5+ years experience in a supervisory role
- Proven ability to add value and enhance processes
- Strong team management ability with experience of supervising and training AP staff
- Strong Reconciliation skills
- Adequate excel user - competent in performing v-look ups & pivot tables
