A national business in motor trade industry are looking to grow their team by hiring a new Assistant Accountant. You will be based at the business's state-of-the-art offices in south Barnsley which are commutable from Leeds, Sheffield and Wakefield. This stable business have continued to take more and more market share over the last 10 years. This business offer several avenues for progression and they offer an excellent benefits package as well. In your role you will be given numerous responsibilities including:
*Assisting in VAT returns on quarterly basis
*Ensuring the monthly tasks are completed
*Performing various checks on the started and terminated contracts.
*Analysing and reconciling the nominal accounts.
*Providing the support to all functions in accounts department.
*Deal with queries in professional manner
*Analysing and updating the finance rates on a monthly basis.
*Maintaining internal control systems

This role offers the applicant the chance to become part of an ambitious finance team. You will gain some excellent hands-on accounts experience in a growing business.

Successful candidates will be graduates or AAT part-qualified/qualified accountant. Candidates will have experience in the preparation of VAT returns and be able to conform to the company's policies. Kerridge experience is desirable but not essential and any exposure to the industry will massively help your application.
