We are recruiting a Financial Controller for a £20million T/O multi-channel retailer.
The initial remit will be to support the Finance Director through the companies year end. It will then pick up a number of finance improvement projects which will range from restructuring and developing the finance team, improving systems, controls and streamlining transactional processes through to developing the quality of management reporting and finances ability to support the commercial and operational areas of business.
It is envisaged that the Finance Director will exit the business within 9 months after the completion of a number of key strategic projects, so this appointment will act as succession and step into the role of Head of Finance.
As such it is vital that applicants are qualified accountants and whilst some experience of working in the retail would be beneficial, more important is the ability to demonstrate a track record managing business improvement and operational change projects, whilst also developing and empowering the finance team to enable reduced reporting times and enhanced business partnering.
