My client is an established £20m turnover manufacturing business. Following substantial investment they are currently going through a period of growth and need to recruit a Management Accountant to report into the Financial Controller. Responsibilities will include:
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Carry out analysis and investigate variances
- Daily reporting of profitability on production
- Preparing monthly accruals/prepayments/journals
- Reporting on production overheads to Operations Manager
- Maintain cash flow rolling forecast
- Balance sheet control account reconciliation
- Maintain fixed asset register and cashbook
- Supervise sales / purchase ledger and provide month end analysis
- Co-ordinate year end and stock take
The ideal candidate would be a finalist or qualified management accountant, preferably with a manufacturing background or similar and the confidence to deputise for the FC. Experience of developing and improving systems will be essential and the role will interface with operations, purchasing and commercial teams so strong communication skills are required.
