Financial Controller

A well know retail Chain based in London are looking for a Group Financial Controller.


Your new company
As part of a dynamic and forward thinking retail chain the organisation have a presence in both the high end and mid range market. The organisation have over 20 operations globally and their head office is in the City of London.

Your new role
Joining the business on a maternity cover contract, you will be immediately challenged to add value in a really diverse, unique role for a Group Function. The role has developed into a broad position where you are responsible for the overall delivery of monthly reporting whilst also being strategically involved with the senior management team to drive business performance.

Duties
Supervision of accounting team including financial and management accounting team
Oversight of consolidation process
Business partnering with senior stakeholders to maximise influence of finance team
Presenting financial information to board
Reporting into Group FD

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a technically proficient qualified accountant who can support and manage the delivery of a first class accounting function. It is likely therefore you will have come from an ACA background and spent time in a reporting focused role. You will then need to have demonstrable experience of adding value when dealing with senior stakeholders and the communication skills to be a true 'face of finance'.
