Your new role
You will be the risk & control subject matter expert with a focus on finance & risk, deputising for the Head of Internal Audit, in this high profile role. Using your specialist industry knowledge you will advise & influence, recommending solutions to a broad spectrum of complex issues, as you produce & deliver a robust & independent assurance plan across the group. You will be expected to take full ownership for managing the control framework and implementing all elements of the Risk Management System, delivering business plans, within the risk appetite, undertaking stress testing & scenario analysis and identifying emerging risks.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have significant prior risk-based internal audit experience within the financial services sector (life & pensions knowledge preferable, but not essential), along with a recognised, relevant professional qualification. Ideally you will also have expert knowledge of insurance / financial products throughout their life-cycle. You will need excellent communication & influencing skills, both verbal & written, strong analytical skills and you'll place a genuine value on coaching & mentoring, with a demonstrable track record in this area.
