ABPM as experts in financial recruitment have been appointed by a services firm based in the East Midlands to recruit to recruit a Financial Projects Business Partner for a 1 year contract. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant who has a technical and project accounting background with a proven capability as a starter finisher and the motivation to work independently yet collaboratively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working on projects that vary in size and complexity.
- Budgets, rolling forecasts and month end accounting on a general and project basis.
- Producing regular reports and feeding these to stakeholders on a frequent basis.
- Identifying risks, issues and opportunities, looking at ways these can be changed, adapted or put forward.
- Developing new processes and implementing new systems to ensure new processes work effectively.
- Meeting tight deadlines so results from all departments are consolidated.
- Creating financial models for pricing and costing to analyse data variances.
- Implementation or advancement of financial, billing and time management systems.
- Working independently and as part of a team to support senior managers.
- Ad-hoc duties when required.
ESSENTIAL
- To have obtained an Accountancy Qualification - ACA/ACCA/ACMA
- Have experience in both commercial accounting and management accounting in a projects based setting
- Experience of running digital/marketing/agency time management or billing systems
- Strong IT skills and a confident user of Excel and MS packages
DESIRABLE
- Microsoft Dynamics / Navision
