FCE Bank plc (FCE), a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, is a UK registered bank regulated by the Prudential Regulation Authority (“PRA”) and Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”). Due to continued growth they are looking to recruit qualified finance professional to join their team. Your role is to support Ford’s vehicle sales through the provision of automotive financial products and services to Ford’s dealers and customers. You will find that FCE has fostered a culture that spans linguistic and cultural boundaries. This will enable you to excel personally and professionally as you support their pan-European and Global businesses. FCE is looking to recruit a number of Finance professionals to perform various roles within its European operations. 

Working within dedicated teams, these roles are likely to be in various departments/teams including: 
 

  • European Treasury
  • European Financial Analysis
  • European Accounting
  • Regulatory Reporting

The specific roles and responsibilities will vary but the following core skills and expected range of tasks will be required: 
 

  • Learns and applies FCE business processes and procedures
  • Assists in gathering, reporting and analysing financial information in order to support various financial, regulatory and management reporting requirements
  • Builds and improves harmonised and efficient finance processes to support FCE’s strategic objectives
  • Applies and implements robust control processes to ensure management, regulatory and financial reporting integrity
  • Uses facts and data to analyse problems and provide robust solutions
  • Creates and delivers presentations and communications, covering various financial matters,to appropriate audiences including both internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Develops, manages and delivers project work plans, providing status updates to senior management
  • The roles will provide broad experience of key financial management skills and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to operate at a more senior level in the organisation.

What you will need to succeed:
 

  • Professional accountancy qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • University degree qualified preferred but not essential
  • Experience of IFRS/UKGAAP will be an advantage
  • Previous experience within banking or financial services will be an advantage
  • A self-starter who can challenge assumptions and identify/implement process improvements
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong ability to work independently, as well as in a team and where appropriate, be capable of leading and managing a small team of employees
  • Have good interpersonal , written and verbal communication skills, and be able to present clearly, concisely and candidly at all levels within the organisation to different types of stakeholders including senior management, auditors, and internal and external customers
  • A quality and improvement focused mind set, ensuring attention to detail whilst also having a tenacious aptitude for taking ownership for tasks and delivering results
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills and demonstrate ability to interpret financial and operational information and make sound data-driven recommendations and decisions.
