FP&A Director required for a 6 month contract with a multi-national business.
The position is responsible for the budgeting, reporting and business analysis for the EMEA region. The role plays a full part in assisting Operational Management in commercial and business decisions, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost efficiency's across all business areas.
Key responsibilities of the FP&A Director:
1.Prepare Operating Plans:
Directly manage preparation of budgets & forecasts and iterate results with relevant stakeholders. Analyse detailed revenue and expense projections for each plan cycle that includes: Operational Budget, Mid Year Forecast, Long Term Plan, and Year End Forecast.
2.Monitor Operating Results
Oversee weekly revenue flash and review summary highlighting changes to revenue. Ensure revenue "to come" is reasonable and review analysis of probable performance against current operating plan.
3.Financial Close
Manage accruals process that support financial close deliverables, which include:
Revenue Accrual: Review proposed accrual based upon trend analysis of royalties earned and reported for the quarter. Review actual to accrual analysis for prior quarter highlighting large variances and managing analysis for explanations.
Expense Accruals: Review proposed accrual based upon open commitments, POs, and other trend analysis.
Consolidate total EMEA results, highlight major revenue & expense variances to plan and review explanations for consolidated Cause of Change (COC) analysis and all international corporate deliverables.
4.Financial Analysis
For each reporting & plan cycle, review operating performance of affiliate offices & licensing agents in constant dollars to evaluate business risks & opportunities. Communicate issues and proposed solutions to general managers and senior executives.
The successful candidate will have experience in working in both a financial reporting and commercial accounting role, within a multinational media or FMCG company.
