Brand new head of financial accountant opportunity based near Manchester city centre


Your new company
I am working with an education focused organisation based near Manchester city centre in order to recruit a financial accountant. The organisation works closely with a number of educational bodies throughout the UK and their head office is based in Manchester. They now require a financial accountant in order to manage their finance team.

Your new role
This is a high profile position within the organisation and you will be the key figure within the finance team. You will be expected to attend board meetings, manage budgets & forecasts as well as complete year end under FRS102, quarter end accounting and month end accounting. You will also manage the Sage Line 50 accounts package.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA) with a background in technical accounting. Sage is essential to the role so you must have used this in a previous role. As you will be dealing with senior stakeholders both within and external to the organisation it is also key that you demonstrate a high level of credibility. You will also be able to complete statutory accounts under FRS102.
