Job Summary

The purpose of the role is to work with the local finance teams to provide financial control, analysis and reporting across the C&PCS businesses. The role requires extensive interaction with senior finance staff and management within each location, in order to produce accurate and relevant financial information on a timely basis to the C&PCS FD, CEO and Divisional management and Group Finance teams.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Commercial support to a number of companies across Europe to work with the local management to driver forward business performance

  • Number 2 role in finance within CPCS as the key finance support role to the CEO and FD

  • Manage the production of monthly management reports, including accounts, KPIs and sales order pipeline.

  • Production of accurate and complete P&Ls, working capital and cash forecasts on a rolling basis, and analyse and communicate any material variances to C&PCS FD and CEO on a timely basis

  • Work with local finance teams to ensure all balance sheets are reconciled monthly and all queries resolved.

  • Coordinate the completion and submission of all Group and Divisional Finance ad hoc requests

  • Coordinate the planning and production of the annual business plan (Budget).

  • Work with the Business Development Director to ensure that the sales pipeline reporting is accurate.

  • Support the local businesses in reducing costs, minimising working capital, and maximising revenue, through appropriate modelling and analysis and process improvements.

  • Manage the annual pay-rise process.

  • Ensure that the local C&PCS businesses implement and adhere to Accounting Standards and Group policies.

  • Liaise with external auditors and advisors as required

  • Work with the local finance teams and Group tax to ensure that the businesses are tax compliant.

  • Ensure Intercompany Trading is managed and intercompany liabilities settled.

  • Provide support for ad hoc projects; e.g. addressing loss making clients, client segmentation.

  • Support and develop staff within your team

  • Ensure that own skills and knowledge are continually updated

  • Act as number 2 to FD for C&PCS

     

    Job Holder Requirements

    Essential

  • Experience of working in a high volume outsourced environment or professional services organisation

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple competing deadlines

  • Good systems knowledge of a leading accounting system (SAP desirable)

  • Advanced excel skills, with the ability to analyse data.

  • Able to work pro-actively on own initiative with minimal supervision

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with experience in working with people of all levels across an organisation across a variety of countries

  • Experience as a line manager

  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%)

  • Experience of multi-currency accounting
