Tax Senior - Newbury - Full Time - up to £35,000 + Benefits
My client is a top-20 firm of chartered certified Accountants based in Newbury. They are currently seeking an experienced, Tax Senior to join their team on a full time basis.

The office in Newbury is part of a wider group with a turnover of £50m and 600 staff. Working with individuals, SME & Corporate clients and providing them with pro-active, out-sourced accounting and advisory services. With Clients based locally and also overseas, the firm's success is often measured by its ability to stimulate profitability and organic growth for their customers' business.
This is a crucial role within the practice, working directly with the Head of Tax and Partners to provide an all-encompassing tax offering to the firm's clients. You will be responsible for preparation, processing and submitting tax returns for individuals as well as corporate returns.
The aim being to provide an efficient out-sourced advisory service and deliver an efficient, tailored service to suit the client's individual needs and tax liabilities, while also be able to instruct clients on the impact of changes in legislation.
You will need to work with a high degree of autonomy and self-management. As a result you will ideally have a minimum two years' experience in a similar, practice based Tax role.
Duties will include:
Responsibility for a portfolio of Individual, SME & Corporate clients
Dealing with various aspects of tax including corporate restructuring, clearances required with H M Revenue & Customs, Share Schemes, residence and other personal and corporate advice as required
Assisting in tax planning
Dealing with clients either in meetings or by telephone
Assisting junior members of the team
Candidate Specification:
ATT qualified or CTA or CIOT qualified
A solid understanding of current tax law
Previous experience in a Tax advisory Client facing role
Strong communicator with stakeholders at all levels
Confident and outgoing personality with a focus on adding value
Able to drive improvements to internal policies and procedures.
Advanced Excel abilities
Experienced in using Sage Line 50 Sage Payroll, Xero, Digita and other accounting packages
