Our client, a large multinational manufacturer based in Staffordshire is seeking a Audit Manager to join the team. The purpose of the role is To carry out independent examinations of the procedures, processes and management controls exercised throughout organisation with a view to monitoring the maintenance of adequate security over Group assets, contributing to improved corporate profitability, assessing the level of control risk and ensuring the integrity and availability of management information. The R&A function plays an important role in providing the Board with assurance that effective controls are in place to manage risk within the organisation. With the option to work from home, this would be a great opportunity for an internal auditor from a manufacturing/engineering environment looking for a new challenge or a Big 4 practice auditor looking for their first move in industry.
Responsibilities Include:
*Planning and completion of audit assignments
*Liaison with local, divisional and corporate management
*Documentation of work and testing undertaken
*Agreement of findings with local and divisional management and holding of exit meetings
*Consider and advise on the implications across the organisations audit findings
*Recommend improvements to the control environment
*Assist with forthcoming group wide compliance initiatives
The ideal Candidate would have the following:
*Fully qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent non UK qualification)
*5+ years PQE
*Good personal time management and ability to work to tight deadlines and within budget
*Ability to work alone and as part of a team, to common standards
*Good judgement and a sense of materiality
*Ability to re prioritise work to meet conflicting needs.
*Working in a manufacturing and / or engineering environment and demonstrable understanding of the audit role and techniques
*Big 4 practice candidates are desirable
*Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working
*Persuading units, up to and including Director level, of the validity and value of recommendations for change and achieve agreement to change.
