Our Client, a well-known market leading FTSE 100 company within the retail and FMCG industries are looking for bright, highly ambitious and determined individuals for a number of Finance Analyst roles within the Commercial Finance team. This fast-paced yet supportive environment can offer opportunity to complete ACCA/CIMA studies whilst also offering a challenging environment with fantastic opportunity to progress. These highly competitive roles sit within the commercial finance team.

The ideal candidate will have a 2:1 Finance based degree or higher from a reputable university with strong academics. Actively studying ACCA/CIMA with the expectation of qualifying within the next 12-18 months will be essential along with having strong excel skills and an analytical mind-set with a strong commercial awareness. Having experience within a large, blue chip company within retail or FMCG sectors would be preferred.

Key Responsibilities of the role:
-Support the Commercial Finance Manager in producing meaningful analytical and commercial insight through analysis to support decision making
-Model complex, large quantities of data into succinct reporting outputs suitable for finance and non-finance colleagues
-Work closely with other commercial finance functions to obtain latest capacities and translate into models
-Responsible for the analysis of e-commerce and retail websites and differentiation between business products
-Support the Finance Manager in ensuring clear targets are in place and modelled for a long term strategic planning cycle
-Responsible for calculating the net costs of distribution across all channels, with understanding of variables that affect it
-Support production of monthly operational KPIs for main board and distribution packs

What we are looking for:
-Strong academics with a 2:1 or above in finance related degree
-ACCA/CIMA studier looking to qualify in 12-18 months
-Retail/FMCG sector experience
-Strong excel/modelling skills with analytical mind-set
-Ability to communicate with non-finance colleagues and confidence in building relationships with senior management
