Management Accountant

Our exclusive client based in Blackburn is looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant who is wanting to push their career to the next level in this senior finance position, reporting directly into the MD. The company is well established within its market and produces a diverse range of products on site, each of which has different revenue streams.

Responsibilities include: -

* Produce the monthly management reporting pack and present to the Board, with supporting KPIs and full commentary

* Responsible for the budgeting and continuous reporting on cashflow forecasting and re-forecasting position

* Provide a solid financial leadership across the business with non-finance managers, strengthening the cost management side of the reporting

* Support growth of customer penetration and profit range

* Manage the reporting of the cost base and controls including recovery process

* Oversea the management of the purchase and sales ledger functions, as well as the credit control

* Fully responsible for the year-end audit and all corporate reporting and tax

* Prepare and process the company payroll and all HMRC and tax provisions associated with it

The successful candidate will be experienced in the following: -

* Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience of developing a finance team

* Experience and strong knowledge of financial reporting within the manufacturing environment

* Working knowledge of process improvement and controls

The role will also involve managing a small finance team and being responsible for the all the financial reporting across the site. You will have gained some solid experience of the month end reporting, preferably within manufacturing, and be able to work closely with the senior board members. This role has the potential to lead to Financial Controller over time for the right candidate, and support will be given with a solid and supportive mentor.
