As a rapidly growing fin-tech start-up PLC, t/o £30m+, this group has developed a state of the art business process improvement platform for a broad portfolio of clients from blue chips and FTSE PLCs to SMEs. With a commitment to ongoing systems and services development, alongside investment in leading edge technology, the business continues to revolutionise business systems, maximise efficiencies and improve cash flow management processes at its clients. As the result of ambitious growth plans, the group now seeks a qualified accountant to take up a Deputy CFO/Financial Controller role, with the expectation to step up to CFO within 2-3 years. Providing financial support to the organisation & SMT moving forward, your brief includes:
•Controlling & reviewing the preparation of PLC Company interim & full year annual report & accounts
•Managing a team of qualified accountants, responsible for driving preparation of PLC-Public Limited Company interim & full year statutory financial statements under IFRS for Group & Subsidiary entities
•Reviewing & delivering annual budgets & reforecasting (FP&A)
•Partnering business stakeholders to understand & enhance cost & revenue drivers
•Preparation of monthly Board finance report & monthly management reports
•Orchestration of working capital, cash resources & driving cash management within the business
•Drafting RNS – Regulatory trading news - trading updates
As a qualified accountant with demonstrable PLC reporting, IFRS exposure, management reporting, financial control and statutory accounting experience, gained within a fast-track, commercial SME business environment, you will have a track record of staff mentoring, team development and supporting key decision makers. The role demands a proactive, energetic approach, an eye for detail and the ability to add value. It is envisaged that the role will step up to CFO within 2-3 years.
