Element recruitment are partnering exclusively alongside a long-standing client to source a Finance Business Partner. The business has shown extensive growth over the last 2 years, with growing revenues and increased reach into new markets this position will be well suited to a commercially minded newly qualified/part qualified accountant who enjoys analysis and presentation of financial information. You will be partnering with a number of senior stakeholders to assist them in understanding their budgets and other financial information to enable the business to make well informed decisions.
As a Finance Business Partner (FP&A), your responsibilities will comprise but not be limited to:
The key duties and responsibilities for this position are:
- Identify and develop systems to report live on key financial and non-financial KPI
- Support sites / countries in completing Forecast Cashflow, P&L and Balance Sheet submission
- Lead the analysis of each countries results, budgets and forecasts including the analysis of foreign exchange impacts on the result
- Provide analytical reviews of the performance of Group sites covering revenue, costs, occupancy, productivity, labour flex, variance to Budget / Forecast and initiating corrective action. Provide commentary and insight, highlighting risks and opportunities, business trends and impact on future performance. Ability to get under the figures to understand key business drivers and trend
- Assist the Group FC in conducting investment appraisals for new sites, strategic initiatives and capital project
- Budget, forecast, analyse and control both capital expenditure and pre-operating expenses for new site
- Help the business understand the financial impact of strategic decisions such as new site investments, price changes, capital investments, system changes et
- Provide daily / weekly and monthly insight into Group, Country, Site actual performance along with variance analysis
- Understand and forecast the impact of cost cutting, operational changes and marketing activity
- Help improve the analysis and insight contained in the Monthly Board Packs and Management Accounts
- Monitoring financial performance against budgets and forecasts and highlighting where corrective action is necessary
- Producing cost analysis and suggesting ways of improving margins and cash flo
- Feeding into strategic discussions to ensure profitable growth e.g. raising new ideas and making constructive challenges to the business
- Build relationships with senior management in order to understand the business and the impact of operational changes on the financial results of the site / country
- Provide regular and ad-hoc support to the Group FD and FC in understanding and explaining financial results and forecasts
The Profile
- Ideally part/newly qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years within a similar Finance Business Partnering/Analyst capacity
- Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely with senior management.
- Strong knowledge of Excel (data analysis, modelling)
- Meticulous attention to detail. Must be thorough and accurate.
Salary
£35,000 - £42,000 + benefits + study support (if required)
