A leading leisure and travel business is looking to recruit an ACA/ACCA qualified candidate to join its finance function.

The purpose of this role is to establish, operate and control the revenue flow into the general ledger. This role must deliver accurate, reliable and timely books of account for revenue in line with business requirements and recognised in accordance with IFRS.

Leading a team of 2 junior analysts you will be accountable for the accurate reporting of revenues and will play a key role in developing and maintaining the interface between the revenue accounting system and Oracle.

The role will be expected to act as the key point of contact between the Revenue Accounts processing teams and the Financial Accounting team.


You will have key responsibility for making sure that controls are maintained around all revenue accounting related GL activities such as providing oversight of inconsistencies and processing errors, and being the key point of contact for colleagues in revenue accounts to support them in their work as issues arise.

With respect to Financial controls you will be expected to ensure that reconciliations are kept up to date, communication channels with the rest of the department are maintained, changes to systems/accounting judgments are well controlled and accounting is performed accurately with minimal adjustments.

You will be ACA/ACCA qualified with strong double entry bookkeeping skills and the ability to articulate technical transactional processes to influence the decision making of project teams or manager. A strong appreciation of revenue accounting and financial systems is also desirable.
