What can we tell you about this fantastic business?

Our client is Exel Technology Group. Established in 1998, they sell and support a portfolio of great technology and software products across three completely different industries; Taxi booking & dispatch, Performance Management and Telecoms. With strong plans for growth they are always looking for new hires who can help take their business to the next level.

What will be keeping you busy?

You will be responsible for managing a team of 3, preparing management accounts, KPI’s, forecasts and budgets and working closely with the senior management team to help define the business strategy. You will also support your team with their own development and growth and work hard to deliver a first-class service to the business.

Whilst you will be heavily focused on day to day financial activities, you will also have input into the strategic vision for the business. This could be particularly attractive to candidates that don’t get this level of involvement at a senior level with their current employer.

We anticipate that you will spend about 25% of your time on managing the team with 75% on the key activities of the role.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant with excellent man management skills. We would like to see candidates that have gained experience whilst working in practice over several years. Through this experience, you will have worked with a variety of different businesses with their own set of challenges. The ability to bring best practice and creativity to this organisation will be particularly useful and will ultimately help with your own career development.

Our client is very open minded about where the successful candidate might be in their career but they are keen to find someone that is ambitious. They want someone that is on an upward trajectory and who has a desire to grow into a more senior role as the business grows itself.

We are looking for someone that is passionate about what they do and who can engage effectively with their colleagues. You will be someone that is able to communicate financial results and information across the business, including people that have no financial training. To this end you will be someone who is confident in their ability to communicate across the business and someone who interacts well with others.

Where you will be working

The role is based in modern offices near Mansfield. We would like to see candidates that have a maximum of a one hour commute.
