Management Accountant

The SF Group are currently looking to recruit a Management Accountant for a market leading business in Derbyshire. The business is a profitable global business, and offers opportunities to progress both within Derby and also internationally.

The Management Accountant position is a newly created role within the Operational Finance team and will give you the opportunity to build relationships across a wide variety of functions within the business and drive financial awareness and understanding. You will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Full production of monthly management accounts including full P&L and Balance Sheet
• Management of cash flow and cash flow forecasting for reporting
• Supporting the annual budgeting/forecasting process
• Providing financial analysis and commentary to act as a business partner across
• Development of month end processes and procedures
• External reporting requirements
• Production of monthly VAT returns
• Deputising for the Financial Controller as required

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with previous experience of working within a Management Accounts. Previous experience within the logistics or distribution sector is desirable but not essential, as long as you can work in a fast paced customer facing environment. You will be hands on, with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
