THE COMPANY:
Due to internal promotion Brewster Pratap are recruiting a Part Qualified Assistant Finance Manager for a large, national organisation based in Sheffield. Close to the motorway they are commutable from Rotherham, Doncaster, Worksop and Chesterfield.
THE JOB:
Reporting to Finance Manager duties will include:
Day to day financial control for the closed book network.
Ensure weekly and period reporting is on time and is accurate.
Manage a team of 2.5 FTE.
Working alongside non-financial managers to develop strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the budget and flex mechanisms.
Ensuring all sales and purchase ledger routines are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Supporting the Finance Manager in the production of budgets / forecasts.
Collation of weekly KPIs for Warehouse and Transport Operations.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Collation of payroll information.
Ad-hoc reporting as required.
THE PERSON:
Previous experience is essential.
Working towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
Must be customer focused with the determination and drive to achieve.
Ability to build relationships with other departments within the business.
Ability to prioritise workload and ability to work to tight deadlines.
Advanced Excel skills are required.
Thorough, robust ledger knowledge is required.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
