Fund Accountant - Pan European Real Estate - London - Our Client is an active Multi-billion euro - Pan-European Real Estate Fund / Investment Manager who are seeking to appoint a Real Estate Finance Professional who will work as part of the finance team. The company is a leading European real estate investment manager with numerous offices throughout Europe and are responsible for a multi-billion € portfolio of assets under management. The group offers a wide array of property investment strategies from core to opportunistic and manages a range of sector specific funds.
The Role will include:
- Preparing quarterly and annual financial reports under IFRS for a Pan-European Real Estate Fund and assisting in new fund reporting requirements.
- Being responsible for full consolidation of all entities.
- Liaising with outsource providers and reviewing their reporting.
- Preparing analysis of variance between budgeted and actual results.
- Reconciling bank balances and monitoring cash balances from cash management services.
- Preparing liquidity analysis of available cash and recommendation of distributions to investors.
- Reporting to banks.
- Reviewing annual local financial statements with service providers.
- Liaising with auditors during the year-end audit process and directors for approval of financial statements.
- Arranging payments.
- Analysing the tax changes that could impact the Fund.
- Monitoring tax compliance of the Fund's entities (including but not limited to annual CIT, monthly VAT).
- Liaising with investors.
- Making recommendation to directors and attending board meetings.
- Monitoring Corporate governance.
The Person: To apply, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a minimum of 1-2 years' experience which includes exposure to real estate and a working knowledge of IFRS experience. The ideal candidate will have some experience of European Tax structures and German language skills would be beneficial. A prior knowledge of UK/Luxembourg/French/Dutch/German GAAP is also desirable.
