Your new company
Hays are recruiting exclusively for a respected educational trust based in Great Yarmouth. This trust need a capable and proactive candidate to support during a period of transition for approximately 2-3 months.
Your new role
The main purpose of the role will be to support the FC in the day to day accounting process for several schools. You will be tasked with:
Providing transactional finance oversight and administration
Administering payroll and liaising with Norfolk County Council in regards to wages
Supporting the FC in the creation and streamlining of basic accounting functions
Assisting with the production of monthly accounts
Supporting the wider administration teams with ad hoc reports, telephone assistance and basic HR tasks
This is a full time post working Monday to Friday between 8.30 and 5
What you'll need to succeed
You will need significant experience in a similar financial setting and be accustomed to working under pressure. You must have a thorough understanding of transactional accounting processes and be able to take control of implementing necessary changes. You must have exceptional IT skills including Excel and be immediately available to start work.
If you have or are working to wards a recognised accounting qualification then this would be advantageous but not essential
