Financial Controller

Our client, a growing business based in Bishop's Stortford are looking to recruit a Divisional Financial Controller to join their team. The role, reporting to the Managing Director will be to direct and manage the finance team whilst contributing to the strategic direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

-Participate in the strategy of the company and continuously provide commercial support to non-finance staff as needed
-Be commercially minded and take on challenges and responsibility that may not be part of the day to day finance function.
-Initiate, plan, negotiate and manage the company wide annual budget
-Assess and recommend appropriate company business and financial targets
-Prepare detailed financial implications of the strategic and annual plans and undertake sensitivity analysis/risk assessments.
-Ensure that all legal and employment issues are considered within the strategic plan
-Manage and maintain any financial or personnel initiative which contribute to longer term corporate plan.
-Preparation of annual budget and the twice-yearly updates.
-Assist the MD with preparation of presentations and reports to UK region and head office management.

The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in a business or finance environment including middle and senior management roles. A strong understanding of financial and management accountancy processes and procedures will be critical and experience within a commercial environment would be desirable.
