Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Group Financial Accountant to join an exciting Manufacturing company experiencing huge growth based in Coleford (commutable from Bristol, Gloucester, Newport and Hereford). For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:
£40,000 - £45,000 plus excellent benefits
About Our Client
A long standing Manufacturing Company who operate across the UK, America and Europe. They are market leaders in what they do and turnover 80 million from the UK side of the business and 110 million across the Group. This role is newly created and reports directly into the Financial Controller but has a heavy dotted line into the CFO.
Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Prepare monthly Business Unit reports for UK Company with multi-divisional and multi-location set-up
- To prepare, develop and analyse key financial reports to ensure that an organisation's management make well informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability
- Consolidate reports of overseas subsidiaries of UK Company and global subsidiaries of Immediate Parent Company on a monthly basis
- Prepare annual budget for UK Company by Business Unit, having an annual turnover of circa £80 million
- Consolidate budgets of subsidiaries and other group companies
- Review monthly reports, analyse results, obtain explanations for unexplained variances
- Review cash flows of group companies. Sense-check information. Obtain explanations for any queried amounts
- Review bank facilities and facility utilisation of group companies on a monthly basis. Check compliance with bank covenants
- Compliance reviews for group companies to ensure statutory and group obligations have been complied with
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
- To provide a high quality service liaising with management colleagues on all aspects of finance
Person specification:
- Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or qualified by experience
- MUST HAVE consolidation experience, ideally within a multi-currency environment
- Knowledge of budget preparation and consolidation, including profit & loss, balance sheets and cash flows
- Experienced in preparing and analysing business information reports
- Excellent oral and written communication skills together with outstanding presentation and negotiating skills
- Ability to communicate and interact with senior management, business unit heads, operational department heads and global
- Excellent command of Microsoft office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP
