Group Financial Accountant

Elevation Qualified Finance are currently working on behalf of a leading global manufacturing business looking to appoint a Qualified Group Accountant to work from their European head office in Doncaster.

The scope of the position will see you ensure that all amounts in the balance sheet are properly classified, valued and supported. Supervise and support the maintenance of the UK entities general ledger and ensure the accurate reporting of the monthly financial. You will prepare and file the statutory accounts, VAT, Corporation tax & any other mandatory returns.

Duties and responsibilities will include:
*Invoicing Intercompany recharges
*Accounting for derivatives and forex hedging
*Preparing Revenue recognition journals
*Accounting for Fixed assets: accounting & reconciliation
*Supervising payroll bookings
*Accounting for R&D
*Preparing Balance sheet reconciliations
*Supervising preparation of VAT returns
*Managing the Month-end and Year End closing processes
*Preparing Statutory Accounts
*Preparing Tax returns
*Approving manual journal entries
*Reviewing the monthly Trial Balance
*Assisting in the improvement of internal procedures

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:

*ACA/ACCA Qualified
*Knowledge of UKGAAP
*High level of Excel knowledge
*Experience preparing Accounts for Holding companies and for Manufacturing companies
*Experience preparing tax returns for Holding companies and Manufacturing companies
