Exceptional FD opportunity in dynamic FMCG business - up to £85000 + excellent bens - ACCA, CIMA - Spalding
Your new company
As one of the worlds largest suppliers to the fresh produce manufacturing sector, our client is an international business that has its products in probably every kitchen cupboard and refrigerator in the UK. As the executive board looks to strengthen and enhance its financial planning function, this new role has been created to work directly with the Group FD to bring further and deeper commercial insight to a fast paced and ever changing business.
Your new role
The over-riding purpose of this position is to improve financial awareness and provide deeper insight to the commercial operations of the group by enabling development of group financial strategy and business planning. Based within the central finance function, you will work closely with site financial controllers to develop the monthly reporting pack as well as enhancing the consolidated executive reporting pack for board and investor review. You'll oversee the group treasury operations and be the liaison for banking and credit agency relationships and, over time, it is likely that you will develop your own team. There will be a significant element of project work and reporting in this job: for example, one key and immediate project for you to undertake will be to develop and roll out a consolidated reporting process utilising Hyperion.
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA with at least 5 years experience at a senior (director) level post in reporting and financial analysis, our preferred applicant will have a background in food manufacturing, FMCG or food supply chain operations. You will need to be able to demonstrate a customer centric approach to your work while working with intensity and speed yet never losing your commercial awareness. Your base data will come from colleagues who don't report to you so the fostering and development of relationships (which will include occasional travel to their sites throughout the UK) will be crucial to your success.
What you'll get in return
This is a job that will allow you to make your mark on the development of a global business and you will be given the freedom to work autonomously and to drive the development of your role. A strong financial and benefits package is on offer and your remit will also include fully expensed international travel (unlikely to be more than 2 to 3 times per year).
