-Take the lead on technical accounting matters that might impact the Group such as leases, acquisitions and share based payment charges;
-Assistance with the preparation of the Annual Report and a key contact during the annual external audit;
-Working with our internal systems team, including the systems accountant, to ensure that the reporting system provides accurate and reliable outputs, while continually looking for system improvements and process efficiencies;
-Producing all internal financial reports for the senior management team, dealing with variance analysis queries and other ad-hoc requirements as part of our regular reporting cycle;
-Working with teams outside of the finance function to understand the impact of commercial and system enhancements on the finance team and provide key input into those decision making processes;
-Managing the training and development of two team members including the revenue accountant;
-Liaising closely with the financial planning and analysis team in areas such as expenditure control and budget reporting;
