A leading Not for Profit organisation with a turnover circa £150m is currently seeking Projects Finance Officer, which is based close to Heathrow. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual to join them at a significant time of growth and take ownership of a portfolio of grants.
The Projects Finance Officer will be responsible for maintaining financial control on new and existing grants while providing project management support to the budget holders. Create and maintain journals relating the full costing of the projects, set up project codes and provide support to the finance manager in managing large grants involving multiple partners. A large part of this position will be liaising with external partners and funders to ensure they have accurate financial information. Managing two staff members, this role will be an important one in providing sound and accurate financial information for other departments in the charity.
The successful candidate will be a part qualified accountant who has gained all round experience from hands on transactional roles to operational responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is either looking for the next step in their career or an individual who is keen on gaining exposure to the projects division. As you are customer focused you must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport at all levels. Candidates who have Research Grants experience or project exposure would be desirable but by no means essential.
