Financial Reporting Manager

Financial Reporting Manager - 12 Month FTC - up to £50k + car allowance + benefits

My client is a household retail brand who are looking to recruit a first class Financial Reporting Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract.

You will be a technically strong qualified accountant who enjoys developing the financial reporting, treasury and transactional teams, in particular enhancing knowledge of all three areas across the team and establish a continuous improvement culture.

Your main areas of focus will be:

• Financial Reporting

Provide technical support to the wider finance team in relation to accounting standards & technical updates.
Manage relations with the auditors & oversee the year-end audit work
Review statutory accounts & ensure IFRS compliant.
Oversee the preparation of all quarterly & year end documentation prepared to a high standard for review.
Review monthly management accounts, ensuring they are meeting the needs of the business

• Treasury

Build excellent working relations with the banks.
Oversee the management of the company's US$ requirement, including provision of accurate & timely information.
Ensure the business' FX strategy is being implemented and suggest improvements.

• Transactional

Ownership of control environment
Embed culture of continuous improvement within the Accounts Payable, and Treasury and Cash Management team.
Work with Buying Teams and suppliers in respect of negotiating payment terms outside of standard terms.
