Senior Accountant

Leading global Telecommunications company is looking for a qualified and experienced Accountant to join its dynamic and progressive Finance team.

The finance team employs over a 100 staff. This role reports to the Senior Finance Manager in the Revenue Accounting team of 4.

Essential Duties:

• Heavily involved in month end reporting and month end close duties for a variety of entities
• Prepares and reviews monthly accounts with variance analysis month-on-month and identifies main drivers in the P&L and balance sheets for a number of complex legal entities in EMEA.
• Drives process improvements in the AP and cash management areas. Conducts ongoing review of the work flow with the bank preparers, collections, and accounts payable teams.
• Trains and mentors junior team members, including system and accounting training.
• Supports the year end EMEA group audit process as well as the quarterly reviews with external auditors.
• Ensures SOX and internal audit compliance.
• Conducts balance sheet reconciliations in BL on a timely basis based on the standard format and requirements.
• Leads statutory filing for a series of legal entities in EMEA.
• Manages and reviews cash clearing accounts reconciliations with accounts payable, collections, and treasury interaction.
• Working closely with the FP&A team

Requirements:

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent
• University educated
• Candidates may come from Practice of Industry, but must have a solid understanding and experience of reporting
• Revenue accounting experience would be a big plus.
• Solid Excel skills are a requirement; experience of Oracle would be an advantage
