As they celebrate their 125th business anniversary this year and with exciting plans to further grow their business they are now looking to appoint into this newly created role.

Reporting to the Head of Finance this varied role is a superb opportunity for an individual who is looking to make a long term move into a broad and significant position within a well-regarded  company with exciting prospects.

Responsible for the provision of the monthly management information, leading the management accounts and supply ledger teams this role demands a hands on Qualified Accountant. You will be able to adapt your style to build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and nurture, develop and mentor a team (6 overall with 3 direct reports).

With a wide ranging remit the post holder will also own the annual budgeting process, review of the quarterly VAT returns, advise the business on the VAT treatment of projects on an ad hoc basis, and work with the Head of Finance on ad hoc tasks.

Applicants must be qualified, with a strong technical foundation and experience of management accounts preparation. Crucially you will now be looking to take on increased levels of responsibility and ownership.

With proven technical knowledge, and an understanding of the concepts of retention or work in progress, the ability to drive key accounting processes and the gravitas to build relationships at all levels; the role demands hands on staff experience alongside evidence of delivering effective and efficient financial management and control. Given anticipated growth plans, the opportunities, challenges & ad hoc projects are extensive.
