Head of Finance

Our client is a well-known International retailer with headquarters in Europe.  It has a strong reputation and is currently in an exciting growth phase in the UK with plans to open numerous new locations.

The Opportunity

The Head of Finance will work closely with the Country Director and play a big part in the continuous growth and expansion of the Brand in the UK.  We are looking for a hands on, dynamic individual who will lead, manage and mentor a finance team of 6.

Responsibilities

Ownership of all financial aspects of the UK division ensuring that management and statutory financial information is accurate and timely.

Budgeting, accounting, financing, planning, reporting and cost control activities in accordance with Group policies.

Communication of overall Country performance to the Country Director and Corporate within Company deadlines.

Provide a monthly summary of the P & L and Balance Sheet with variance analysis, highlighting key areas of development or areas that need attention.

Monthly forecasting.

Ensure financial processes are robust, efficient and effective.

Ensuring all new location openings have the necessary licences and permits.

Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.

Requirements

Italian or Spanish speaker or experience working within a European organisation

Experience of finance within a retail organisation

Qualified accountant

Knowledge of IFRS

10 years’ finance experience
