Our client a family owned manufacturing business based between St Neots and Huntingdon are currently experiencing significant growth in both existing and new markets. To help facilitate this growth they are creating this new, senior management Finance Manager position to take full responsibility for all accounts and company administration.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this position will have three main areas of responsibility financial management, company administration and company development and improvement with the following duties:
Produce accurate & timely monthly & annual accounts
Manage budgets and reporting on variances
Pay salaries using an automated clocking in system
Update & maintain accounts office procedures
Manage current IT systems (computers, phones )
Manage external admin (bank, insurance, energy, compliance, tax, grants, LPA)
Maintain employee records & manage pensions
Collate existing performance reports to ensure agreed KPI's are met
Develop new analytical reports to improve performance in each department (Capital assets, transport, operational efficiency, sales & margins)
Develop company IT system to prepare for the future growth
The ideal person will be able to demonstrate successful experience of producing and using management accounts and to improve the performance of a manufacturing, or similar business. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to organise and simplify business processes and to work with external parties.
Most importantly, the ideal candidate will be a team player looking to grow their career by working within a small management team to improve the team's performance by providing precise and relevant management information, analysing variance to plans and identifying improvements. Experience of improving IT systems and using social media in a commercial environment would be of benefit. This exciting position combines some hands on accounts work with the opportunity to think out of the box and implement new ideas.
Our client will look at this role on either a full time or 4 days a week
