Financial Accountant

This superb new role has been created within this Shared Service Centre based in Warrington. Reporting to the Finance Manager the key purpose of this role is to provide a broad range of financial accounting services from merger & acquisition work and associated financial integration projects to cash-flow forecasting, payroll integrity and reporting, month end and year end coordination and ledger closure, statutory accounting production, reporting to other external parties, internal controls and taxation.

Key duties include :
Taking a lead financial role in mergers and acquisitions; ensuring that acquisitions are appropriately accounted for and working closely across the Finance team to ensure any new accounting processes are appropriately and efficiently integrated into the team.
Work with credit control and accounting team to further develop the accuracy and detail of cash flow reporting and forecasting.
Statutory Accounting: Working with the Accounting Team and taking a lead role in- house production of the statutory accounts and filing procedures of each of the Group's entities.
Internal Auditing (controls): conduct regular, periodic checks and tests on internal controls (reporting on the robustness of existing controls) and providing recommendations for improvements.
Working closely with the Accounting Manager in coordination of year end / month end ledger closures

The successful candidate will be fully qualified ACA,ACCA,CIMA, ideally with an audit background and looking for your 1st move into an industry role although a 2nd time mover can also be considered.
