This is a newly created role due to the growth of this privately owned Group of companies with turnover of over £100m. The business has almost doubled in size over the past six years due to organic growth and acquisition.
We are looking for a Qualified Accountant to undertake a role which will evolve. You will have full responsibility for the financial reporting and performance of the business. You will create a partnering function ensure finance interacts with the business and adds commercial value.
Owning the numbers means you will be responsible for leading the team to deliver accurate, timely and meaningful month-end and year-end reporting, but also the consolidated forecasting and budgets. Key responsibilities will include; management of a large team, month end and year end reporting, cashflow review commercial reporting such as profitability, cost reduction, and KPI's. .
Because of the nature of the business and constant growth, it is essential that you are proactive with projects to continuously improve reporting, systems, processes and controls.
The successful candidate will have a blend of financial and management reporting with experience working in a similarly varied role. You must have good leadership skills and previous exposure in a management / supervisory role. You must have experience working within a multi-site business and ideally FMCG, retail or another service sector.
