Commercial Finance Manager

An outstanding opportunity to join of the World's leading retailers currently experiencing strong growth and excellent results. We are seeking ambitious, high calibre, qualified Commercial Finance Manager - Retail to join the companies' talent planning for future Finance Directors and Heads of Finance.
The successful candidate will develop, implement and manage a performance framework, for all Store Operations cost lines, covering planning, monitoring, analysing and forecasting, that supports the Store Operations senior management team in delivering their financial and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
-Analyses, identifies and resolves issues and/or opportunities ensuring store needs and productivity commitments are satisfied within the confines of the company's financial plan;
- Identifies and recommends potential productivity improvement initiatives through both financial & operational analysis and challenge focussing on the leveraging of the current cost base and ensuring appropriate operational service levels are met;
-Partners with other European Finance Business partners in developing a consistent approach for assessing the cost base for Europe;
-Develops and manages a financial reporting process that promotes fiscal accountability throughout the Store Operations structure, including: quality management information, highlighting key exceptions/issues, ongoing expense forecasts for Store and Field expenses, trend analysis and variance analysis;
-Maximise the returns on investment from the capital initiatives we place instore by partnering with the in country store management teams;
-Develop and manage the annual & rolling plan covering Store Payroll, Store expense lines and HO & Field Store Operations G&A expenses;
-Provide analytical capability and support to Store Operations senior management, regional management and others as required;
-Manage, lead and develop direct Commercial Finance Analyst to ensure
-Professional and technical development
Coach and develop the wider finance team to ensure business awareness
The successful candidate will be CIMA/ACA Qualified (ideally first time passes) with c3-7 years PQE. You will have an outstanding track record of academic achievement including an excellent degree from a top university and consistent progression within a large, ideally multi-national business. Candidates with a Retail or FMCG or Multi-Site/Leisure experience are highly desirable. You will have previous experience of managing, mentoring and developing teams.
