From bicycle chains to roller-coaster tracks, Renold have been manufacturing products that get people places for over 100 years. As part of their on-going drive for growth and business excellence, they are currently undertaking a large-scale business transformation project, of which a core component is the global roll-out of a new ERP System.

Details about the Client

Renold are an internationally recognisable brand, with roots that date back as far as 1864. Employing over 2,500 people in more than 23 countries, they're a family-feel PLC with a truly global presence. A career with Renold is one that often spans decades, and offers the chance to be part of a legacy of innovation and growth.

Detailed Job Description

As a core member of the ERP roll-out team, your immediate priority will be investigating and understanding the needs of Renold's international finance teams. As the voice tasked with providing the bridge between finance and systems, your knowledge and strong business-partnering ability with the wider business will inform effective decision making, track performance and drive improvement.

Reporting directly into the Group Business Systems Manager, you will help deliver the smooth roll-out of the Group's ERP and associated systems as it relates to Finance. You will have a keen eye for operational efficiency through standardising practices, be responsible to test any upgrades, fixes and patches, and be part of a project team which places heavy emphasis on user interests and efficiencies.

You must be able to identify risks, both from an operational perspective but also with regards to resistant or cautious users. Thorough testing, fixing, and patching is also to be expected, and your remit will include generating full test cases for every business unit covered by the new system.

Candidate's Profile

The ideal candidate will have ‘grown up' through the transactional finance environment, giving them a complete idea of the efficient workings of a transactional team. You'll have since developed an eye for detail and a heavy emphasis on processes and controls, especially relative to system usage, and you must have a strong desire to aid the business transformation process.

Exposure to tier 2 systems is desirable, although systems such as SAP (CO) will also be advantageous. The ideal candidate will also be expected to travel up to 3 in every 4 weeks, to partner with international teams, and as such a willingness to travel is a must.
