We have a superb new vacancy for a Payroll Manager that has experience overseeing large multi-facetted payrolls, including various weekly payrolls on different sites, monthly payrolls and executive salaries.
The Payroll Manager will need to have worked in a large company before to understand the implications of operating a payroll of this size.
In addition, you should be able to look at processes and implement improvements.
The ideal person will have excellent interpersonal skills, able to organise and motivate a wide team, be able to see the wider picture and be able to run an efficient and effective payroll.
Responsibility UK Payroll activity, to include;
- Variety of monthly and weekly payrolls for circa 35,000 UK employees
- Compliance with both internal policies and external legislation, and to all internal and external audit requirements
- Management of Payroll and payment services and systems (NGA Resource Link and BACS/Eigerpay)
- Management of service level provision for Time capture related to Payroll
- Integration with HR and employee master data systems and processes
- Administration of sick pay, company and state pensions schemes, adhering to both Company and State legislative requirements
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of Payroll and recording of associated financial entries
- Participation in internal and external policy forums, to manage and deliver Payroll for a complex and diverse set of policies and terms and conditions
- Maintain and report effective KPI’s and analytics to measure and drive ongoing process improvement, and identify and resolve persistent issues
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
- Appropriately qualified (CIPP) and experience of managing a payroll function within a large organization (>10,000 employees)
- Ability to lead, develop and motivate a diverse team
- Ability to cut through ambiguity/complexity and deliver succinct, data driven recommendations
- Confident with strong presentational and communication skills
- High degree of influencing skills with an ability to interact within a multi-functional internal & external network
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Dynamic self-starter and innovative in problem solving and process improvement, evidencing a positive, “can do” attitude
- Working knowledge of SAP, NGA Resource Link and Kronos applications an advantage
