Description
This Accounting Advisory Services team team provides specialist accounting and financial advice to clients and client teams across a range of areas.
Projects focus on the application of technical accounting in order to assist clients particularly relating to accounting policy conversions, preparation of financial statements or carve out accounts, merger and acquisition activity and group restructurings, often working as part of cross-functional teams including Transaction Services, Corporate Finance and M&A Tax.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing accounting support to transaction teams answering questions on technical issues and providing output for reports
Management of client accounting related engagements, leading small teams. In some instances, leading AAS input into larger, multi-disciplinary teams.
People management and performance development
Providing high quality accounting advisory services to clients and other departments.
Building and maintaining strong relationships.
Contributing to practice and risk management, including thought leadership and business development activities, and general practice development.
Development and delivery of accounting training to internal teams and possibly clients.
Profile
Qualified accountant (Chartered Accountant or equivalent)
Very strong technical accounting in IFRS and ideally UK GAAP. Some US GAAP knowledge is an advantage
Experience of managing teams
Experience of developing and presenting accounting training courses.
Strong understanding of recent developments in accounting, in particular IFRS 15 and 16.
Analytical ability and attention to detail.
Problem solving attitude and ability to apply accounting concepts to unusual one-off situations.
Job Offer
Salary range to £70,000 per annum plus negotiable benefits and bonus
