An opportunity has arisen within a leading independent music group where you will take responsibility for the International Royalties team.

 

You will manage a small team that has responsibility for processing and distributing the label and artist royalties for Regional European offices.

 

This role is critical to meeting the various royalty deadlines and providing royalty information to management for performance analysis. You will report into the Group Royalties Manager and has the opportunity to make a difference through process improvement. This will be a hands on position where you will need to be happy to roll your sleeves up and manage a number of accounts whilst overseeing the work of the team.

 

This is a great position for an individual who has some good royalties experience and is passionate about the music industry. This is a lively company that is hard working whilst also creating a relaxed environment.

 

The Role:

  • Manage a team of three people to ensure the accurate set up and maintenance of client data and repertoire royalty conditions within the group royalty system;
  • Process and distribute the monthly, quarterly and biannual label and artist statements;
  • Ensure correct Recoupable costs are applied to statements once received from the local country Finance Teams;
  • Liaise with business affairs and management to ensure accuracy within the reporting process;
  • Manage ad hoc projects to improve efficiency of royalty process;
  • Build and sustain an efficient flow of royalty data to the relevant finance teams;
  • Provide any additional analysis required by Management, Financial Controller and Group Royalties Manager.

 

The Requirement:

  • Solid experience of processing royalties, ideally gained within a Music company;
  • Excellent Excel skills;
  • Organised, methodical and excellent attention to detail;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Experience of Counterpoint Record Maestro would be an advantage.
