Cambridge, United Kingdom – Our client, a market leading PLC with a global presence based in Cambridge, is seeking to recruit a Corporate Financial Controller to join a growing and successful team.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Corporate Financial Controller will be responsible for developing the internal and external financial reporting capabilities of the group, including consolidation of UK and overseas operations and preparation of high quality monthly management accounts. As Corporate Financial Controller you will prepare monthly analysis of key operational data and work with business partners to provide clear insight and financial leadership that contributes to the financial discipline of the business. You will be responsible for the preparation of annual reporting and interim financial information for reporting to the public markets including accountability for the external audit relationship.
The Corporate Financial Controller will manage the activities of the core finance team ensuring development at all levels which supports the financial control environment of the group and actively seeks to improve it. You will work closely with the wider finance and operations team to build and enhance financial and ERP systems, processes and reporting in a highly scalable and user focused manner and proactively monitor and manage the cost base of the group with reference to budgets and analyst consensus.
The successful candidate will be qualified (ACA) and will have previous experience within a similar role in industry and commerce. In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment and on multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines, be well organized, self-motivated and have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
