PURPOSE:

To define existing customer experience for Savings and support oversight over Banks delivery. Deliver commercial objectives, channel and marketing mix for new or existing customers by utilising the banks Brand and segmentation plan. Delivering renovation and innovation to meet our customer's needs: all within Bank defined risk appetite.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Focus on the targets and outcomes)

CUSTOMER

Define and own existing customer experience for Savings - describe from a customer's perspective, their savings journey. Identify the touchpoints at each stage. Work with other functions to identify implications for processes, systems, staff behaviours and skills.

• Oversight of existing customer experience delivery - work across functions to deliver the customer experience. Compare defined customer experience vs actual and develop an improvement plan and oversee its implementation.
• Enhance existing customer savings journey - define opportunities and changes to the customer experience, have oversight of change to experience within delivery areas.
• Lead collaboration with Marketing to ensure campaign selection and effectiveness.

PEOPLE/LEADERSHIP

• Support a customer-centric culture which inspires and motivates colleagues across Product and Marketing
• Support the cultural transformation required across Product and Marketing through a defined people strategy and encouraging a culture of continuous personal growth.
• Set clear objectives, plan, work with delivery areas on the tactics to deliver against the plan and oversee timely adherence.
• Lead effective relationships with key internal stakeholders responsible for delivery of the savings existing customer journey and change programmes.

FINANCIAL / COMMERCIALS

Performance Management of the existing customer experience via effective oversight of delivery areas. In particular oversight of MI, KPIs, change, risks and customer outcomes. Including trend, model and promotional analysis

RISK AND PROCESS

• Support resolution of product issues - provide subject matter expertise to Technical Managers to aid resolution of savings issues relating to existing customers.
• Identify and manage all regulatory, operational and conduct risks arising from the existing customer loan products in accordance with the banks risk appetite.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: (Detail the experience that is necessary to enable the incumbent to perform the role competently and effectively.)

Essential

• Strong knowledge of the UK Financial Services marketplace, with experience of managing significant Banking products / categories (customer needs, product strategies, pricing, product innovation, product management, regulation, competitor activity, market developments and trends.)
• Understanding of critical existing customer category value drivers and commercial outcomes
• Track record in planning, forecasting and financial interpretation skills
• Proven track record in stakeholder management
• Track record in product management
• Strong communications / Influencing skills evidenced through a number of techniques.
• Proven ability in product renovation and innovation
