Elevation Recruitment Group are ideally looking for a newly qualified, first time mover from practice for a leading PLC business just off M1 junction 26 in Nottingham. My client are currently recruiting a newly created role for a Regional Accountant, reporting straight into the Divisional FC on site. All accounting information is then reported to group.
Duties will include:-
* Assist Financial Director/Manager with preparation of the monthly management accounts
* Undertake all regional balance sheet reconciliations and own the resolution of issues
* Process all regional journals
* Support the review of all budget and forecast variances through the production of monthly variance reports
* Liaise with central finance to ensure the controls within the region are fit for purpose
* Lead the production of the regions cash forecasting through the coordinating of all aspects of cash reporting and owning the identification of risks and opportunities for both revenue and cost
* Support the preparation of regional reviews by providing timely cash reporting and variance analysis at a regional and site level
* Identify opportunities for cash improvement at a regional and site level
* Understand the cash requirements to ensure all forecasting is robust and sites' cash usage is understood and progresses as planned
* Ensure all WIP actions plans are in place and being followed
* Work with the Commercial department to ensure the robust forecasting of grant funding and payments
* Support the central finance team and treasury with all ad-hoc cash reporting requests and provide the team with timely and accurate information
* Update sales price analysis on weekly basis and provide the regional management team with a forward forecast of price variance based upon current sales releases and achieved prices. Identify risks and opportunities
* Support and challenge the sales team in the forecasting of legal completions in order to identify opportunities for over delivery and risks of under-delivery.
* Coordinate the weekly sales / build meeting and produce the necessary management information to facilitate this meeting
* Produce reports on monthly marketing spend by site versus budget/forecast and review with sales teams to challenge and reforecast. Identify opportunities for savings
* Produce monthly overhead spend analysis by category and review versus budget/forecast to identify opportunities and risks to outturn
* Support the monthly / quarterly site review process by providing financial information at a site level against Capex, Budget and Forecast for all schemes
* Support the reforecast process and annual budgeting process
* Support the annual year end audit process
* Collation of ad-hoc reporting information as and when requested by senior management
* Produce and maintain other finance specific reports in relation to sales security, stock, sales type analysis and cost tracking
* Prepare and submit monthly cash flows and monitoring reports for grant funding as required
* Prepare information for bids for funding and grants for the regional business
* Support the land department with financial modelling for new opportunities
* Perform any other reasonable ad-hoc duties as assigned by the manager
To be successful for this role you MUST have the following skills and attributes:-
- ACCA or ACA Qualified
- Previous experience within an Accountancy Practice would be ideal
- Good knowledge of accounting software
- Experience of delivering timely, accurate and concise reporting
- Experience of budgetary, cash and profit control and management reporting
- Self-motivated with a can do attitude
- Flexible & adaptable
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
- Ability to work both alone and as part of a team and across functions
