Interim Financial Accountant

Our client, an engineering global leader in its field, seeks to recruit a high calibre Financial Accountant for a period of 9 months initially, with the potential if you'd wish to be considered, of a permanent role thereafter.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will play a pivotal role as part of the de-integration team managing the disposal of a legacy business. Your broad-based responsibilities will include managing, analysing and supporting all aspects of the accounting and reporting associated with the disposal throughout the transition. 

More specifically, you will be responsible for the preparation of the P&L, balance sheet and all associated schedules of the relevant part of the business and then prepare the month end reporting pack to be presented to, and agreed with, the buyer. So considerable interaction and exposure not only to internal teams but also to the buying international business' teams. All good, interesting stuff!

So ideally we're looking for some relevant experience to be able to contribute reasonably quickly. Technically strong, with a positive can-do attitude is critical. A grasp of forex and costing methods would be helpful, but not pre-requisite. Familiarity with UK and US GAAP highly beneficial.
