Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join an exciting start-up business experiencing going through huge growth based in Moreton-in-Marsh (commutable from Cheltenham/Worcester/Oxford). For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:

About Our Client
A start-up business that has been trading since September but in this short space of time secured a large amount of accounts and got themselves into some very reputable Healthcare magazines. The client is now looking for a very forward thinking Finance Manager to report directly into the Finance Director who himself has a history of rapidly expanding start-up business. This role is newly created due a dramatic increase in sales and the role responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Job Description:
- Manage and participate in day-to-day transactional work including CAPEX, Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
- Stock Management and Purchase Order processing (including preparation of monthly stock orders from sister company in Canada)
- Cashflow Forecasting - Maintain a rolling three-month forecast, as well as generating payment runs, and general management of working capital
- Bank Reconciliations - Responsibility for regular reconciling of all bank accounts
- Manage processing of all Expenses, both cash claims and credit card expenditure
- Payroll - Manage starters/leavers process, generate draft monthly payroll runs, and take responsibility for all PAYE reporting and submissions to HMRC
- VAT - Preparation of quarterly VAT Returns
- Budgeting - Involvement in annual budgeting process, and mid-year reforecasting as and when required
- Ensure financial security and integrity at all times
- Preparation of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet, including reconciliations of all key B/S accounts
- Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly sales reports, comparing actual performance with budget and/or forecast
- Ad-hoc sales, expenditure and profit analyses, as required by Senior Management team
- Lead the year-end audit preparation and be main point of contact on all audit matters
Your profile:
- A self-starter, able to take direction but also able to use your own initiative, prioritising accordingly to get the job done
- Analytical, a problem-solver, focussed on attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where double-digit growth is the norm
- Strong systems background with the ability to streamline and improve policies and procedures, enabling the business to 'scale-up' in line with expectation
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise projects
- Strong communication skills, articulate and able to discuss detailed financial information with 'non-financial' staff across all departments
- A team player, with effective verbal and listening skills
Must have's
- A qualified Accountant, with up to two years PQE
- Strong experience creating sets of management accounts and analysing trends within the figures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Vlookups, SumIfs, Macros etc)
- Experience of various Accounting Software packages (Microsoft Dynamics of benefit but not essential)
- Clean driving license
